With playoff seedings basically settled, BCHS turned their attention to getting ready for state. Monday afternoon, they hosted Schley County. Though the game was much closer than the 11-0 win BC had when the teams met before, the Lady Royals swept the season series.

Tied 3-3 in the fourth, Bleckley loaded the bases with two outs but couldn’t score. Schley got two in the fifth. Darci Dillard would make sure another bases loaded opportunity wouldn’t go for naught in the home half.

She cleared the bases with a grand slam. A two on, no outs opportunity in the sixth produced no runs. The Lady Wildcats got a sac fly after having two runners on but BC held on to win 7-6.

Clara Rickerson nearly got the runner out at first with this throw from her knees.

Jordyn Krieg went 3 for 4. Elisia Vickers was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Kemyah Anderson went 1 for 2. The Lady Royals will host a doubleheader against Southwest tomorrow. Game one starts at 4:30 pm. Senior night recognition will take place between games.
