Vidalia High School has been a tough place for BCHS. Though they did win region last winter, the squad has struggled at times in that gym, including a second place finish this past October at the Sweet Onion Cheer Classic.

Back in Vidalia Saturday afternoon, the Royals sought their second straight region title. The final squad to perform, they were greeted with a loud ovation by the family and friends who were there in support.

Things got off to a solid start with tumbling as well as all stunt groups sticking. However, the pyramid had issues. Someone came down early, there was also a fall which resulted in a deduction.

The squad with coaches Allie Smith and Heather Davis.

The Royals finished region runner up, a hard pill for many to swallow. But as one fan pointed out, there’s still state. The Royals will be in Macon for state November 19. It starts at 10 am.
