Raiders snap Royals 13-game win streak.

During the Royals 13-game win streak, there were games where the pitching would bend but not break. BC’s pitching was serviceable Wednesday night against West Laurens. But the offense couldn’t produce.

Despite the Raiders having at least one runner on base in each of the first five innings, BC trailed just 2-1. The Royals went four innings without a hit, just one baserunner. Down 5-1 in the sixth, BC had runners at second and third with two outs.

Carter Brannon singled. But confusion on the bases caused the runner at second to be doubled off before the runner at third could score. JR Fordham homered to lead off the bottom of the seventh.

The next two runners reached but one was thrown out trying to steal third. There would be no comeback as BCHS lost 5-2. The team had five hits, none with more than one. Bleckley hosts Washington County April 4 at 5 pm.
