Girls track team finishes fifth at state.

During meets this this season, BCHS girls head track coach Shelly Cranford often said "finish strong" to runners coming across the finish line at a race. It was Saturday's strong finish that propeled Bleckley into the top five.
Annie Fletcher won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.48 She was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.87 After finishing third in the 1600-meter run Thursday, Kelli Arnold finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.
Tyresha Williams finished fifth in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:01.423 The 1600-meter relay team of Kelli Arnold, Tyresha Williams, Annie Fletcher, and Laqueisha Jenkins finished sixth with a time of 4:25.896.
Saturday's performance saw the Lady Royals score 29 points after being held scoreless Friday. The final top five looked like this: North Occonee 40, Wesleyan 38, Greater Atlanta Christian 36, Early County 36, Bleckley County 35.
Congratulations to the team as well as Coaches Shelly Cranford and Debbie Caldwell on a good season.
