It was the final time for this year’s young BCMS Competition Cheer Squad. They had few trophies but had made steady improvement throughout the season.
That would continue at Thursday night’s region competition held at Jeff Davis High School. The routine got off to a bit of a rough start as the timing was off with the opening basket tosses.
The squad though would recover to put on a solid routine. Good tumbling, good jumps, everything stuck. Supporters, which included some of the BCHS Competition Queens, gave them a loud ovation after the performance ended.
A look at the score sheets would reveal the Barons finished fourth with their best score of the season. There was already talk about getting ready for next year.
With only three eighth graders moving on, and a pair of determined coaches, it’s hard to bet against the Barons being back in mix for an MGMSAA title next season. © Copyright 2015 by BleckleyProgress.com |
