Royals split two with Vidalia.

After rain spoiled two attempts to play the scheduled game in Vidalia between the Royals and Indians, the two teams agreed to play a doubleheader in Cochran Friday afternoon. Though the weather would play a brief role in the end, they got both games in.

Game one saw Vidalia score four runs in the third and one in the sixth. BC was held to just two hits in losing 6-0. In game two, though the Indians scored two in the top of the first, the Royals answered with three in both the home first and second.

Bleckley pushed across single runs in the third and fourth. The Indians got two in the fifth. After they were retired in the sixth, umpires called the game due to field conditions.

Much of game two was played in the rain. Clayton Beck was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Shane Knighton went 1 for 2 with an RBI double. BCHS plays at Mary Persons March 13, start time 6 pm.
