Tough end to home season for BCHS.

BCHS looked to close out the home season on a high note as well as improve their standings for next week’s region playoffs when they hosted Central Thursday night. However, both teams lost games they arguably should’ve won.

The Lady Royals had a one-point lead at halftime. BC had the opportunity to take a lead to the fourth quarter, but missed two free throws in the final seconds, thus the score was tied at 30.

Citizens Bank of Cochran was Thursday's game sponsor. Pictured with boys head coach Garrett Collins is bank vice president BJ Coody and bank president Matt Fordham.


Bleckley mustered just two fourth quarter points in losing 39-32. They were also 2 of 9 from the free throw line. Two players had eight points.

The Royals trailed for a majority of their game, down by as many as eight points in the second half. They would tie the score late in the fourth But tied at 41 with 25 seconds left, Central hit a three. BC had chances to hit a game-tying shot but missed and lost 44-41.

Nykez Farrow scored 18 points. BC closes out the regular season Friday night at A..C.E. Varsity tip time is 6 pm.
