BCHS hosted a pair of second round region tournament games Tuesday night. The Lady Royals took on Dublin while the Royals tangled with Jefferson County. It was a good night for the home teams.
A 24-1 second quarter blew the game open for the Bleckley girls. After a 31-5 third quarter, reserves played the fourth. BC won easily 64-22. Kalyria Jones had 18 points. Ava Jenkins added 19 points.
Nykez Farrow had a tip in at the halftime buzzer as the Royals led the Warriors 45-23. However, Jefferson used a 16-5 third quarter to draw within 12. In the fourth, BC kept the lead at double digits for most of the quarter.
Reserves finished the game as BC won 65-54. Farrow finished with 21 points. Kam Everett had 18 points. Region tournament play moves to Dodge County Wednesday night. The Lady Royals take on East Laurens at 6 pm, the Royals face Dodge County at 7:30. © Copyright 2015 by BleckleyProgress.com |
