BCHS had their final regular season non-region game Thursday night against Fitzgerald. After a slow start, the offense got on track to win the game easily.

Leading 1-0 in the second on a Braegan Cravy homer, the Royals got out of a second and third, no outs jam. But Bleckley would be unable to capitalize on a bases loaded, no outs opportunity in the home half.

Bleckley stranded two runners in the bottom of the third. The Hurricanes tied the score in the fourth. But in the bottom of the inning, seven runs, capped by Austin Yourn’s three-run home run, blew the game open.

Three in the bottom of the fifth, capped by a bases loaded walk to Yourn, gave BCHS an 11-1 victory. Yourn was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI. Gavin Cole was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Brody Fleming was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI> Brady Brannon went 2 for 3. Josh Dillard was 1 for 2.
Bleckley closes out the regular season tomorrow against Central at 5:45 pm. A win and the Royals will clinch the region title. Senior night recognition will take place before the game.
