The BC Crusaders travel baseball organization was started late last summer as a way for players to keep their skills up year-round. The team struggled in many tournaments partially due to having so many young players on the team.

So about two months ago, the teams split. Ronnie "Shane" Stokes has rebuilt the Crusaders into a 12 and under team. Michael Anderson, the original Crusaders head coach, took the younger players and started a new team.

Their name, G-Force. The team has five players from
Bleckley County with others from Dodge and Pulaski Counties including one female player from Dodge. One is from Soperton. The assistant coaches with Anderson are, Greg McCree, Derek Cone, and Jessie Pruett.

G-Force has played in two tournaments, finishing second in the last one held in Milledgeville. All their tournaments are sponsored by the USSSA baseball organization. This weekend, they've been a part of the Triple Play Classic at the Southern Pines. It was originally scheduled for August 23-24 but postponed due to rain.

G-Force dropped their first pool game Saturday to the Middle Georgia Golden Gloves 9-1. After a lengthy rain delay, they took on the HoCo Cubs. The game was back and fourth for the first few innings, as each team was able to answer the others scoring.

However, a 6-4 game was altered by late runs from the Cubs as G-Force lost 11-5. They finish the Triple Play Classic Sunday. Next up is the West Macon Fall Classic on September 13-14. You can keep up with the action of G-Force by going to the team's website: http://www.ballcharts.com/gforce
