While there was nothing official on the facilities report, superintendent Dr. Trey Belflower did say they were soliciting bids to replace the bleachers in the BCHS gym. He said coaches had indicated the motor used to fold them up was failing and they would often have to be pushed in manually. Belflower said he hoped to have bids to vote on next month, also noting the purchase would be paid for with SPLOST funds.
Approved was the renewal premium with Georgia School Board Association Risk Management Fund for property/casualty/auto insurance in the amount of $151,081 plus $7,500 for cyber risk liability for a total of $159,031. Also approved in the same vote was the annual premium for worker’s compensation insurance with GSBA RMF in the amount of $82,696.
The only thing of note from the executive session was the addition of Ron Claxton to the BCHS Athletic Staffing Plan as a community track coach.
