Lady Royals struggle against Washington County.

When Washington County and BCHS met on August 21, play was suspended after an inning and a half due to weather with Bleckley leading 5-0. The game was ultimately postponed. It was made up Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately, Wednesday’s game didn’t go as well.

Emmie Williams


Tied at 2 in the fourth, Waco got a run on two outs to take the lead. They scored another on two outs in the sixth. BC got within 4-3 in the home half thanks to Emmie Williams’ second sac fly of the game.

Zoey Adams


In t\he bottom of the seventh, the first two Lady Royals reached base. A sac bunt moved them to second and third. The next batter popped up a bunt attempt. The umpire called her safe, but there seemed to be confusion on whether time was called.

Rayea Dominy


Because she left first base. The pitcher threw to first and she was out. The next batter flew out as the Lady Royals suffered their first softball loss to Washington County, 4-3. One of the four runs scored by the Lady Hawks were earned as BC committed four errors.

Ashanti Flagg


Lyric Stephens and Kadence Carmichael accounted for four of the five team hits, each going 2 for 3. Bleckley hosts Dodge County tomorrow at 5:30 pm.
