Region play resumed for BCHS as they traveled to Dublin to take on the Fighting Irish. Last year, the teams split their the series with each team winning at home.
Dublin built a 3-0 lead after four innings. Bleckley stranded at least one runner in the second, third, and fourth. It was the sixth inning where things changed.
BC erupted for six runs, using hits, a balk, and error. They scored another in the seventh on a bases loaded walk. Pitcher Walker Boatright had a clean bottom of the seventh as the Royals won 7-3.
Noah Woodard was 2 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI. Thomas Evans was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Bleckley hosts Jeff Davis tomorrow at 6 pm. © Copyright 2015 by BleckleyProgress.com |
