Before the game, a Veterans Day ceremony was held. On hand were veterans from the Carl Vinson VA Hospital in Dublin. It was organized by Dublin VA Social Worker Greg Senters. Pictured are both BCHS and Dublin, Senters, and others including Mayor Carla Coley and County Commissioner Mike Davis.

BCHS wrapped up their season series with Dublin Thursday afternoon. The Royals built a big early lead but had to hold off a persistent Irish team.

The teams gathered together for a prayer led by retired Marine Core Sgt. Keith Walker. He also threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

It was 6-1 BC after two innings. The teams swapped runs in the fourth. Dublin scored in the fifth and sixth to get within 7-4.

A wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth put the lead back at four runs. Though Dublin had a runner reach with one out, he was left stranded as BC prevailed 8-4.
