BCHS wrapped up both their home and home as well as region series against A.C.E. Thursday night in Cochran. It was a big game for the Royals who looked to remain in region title contention.

Noah Woodard

Things started off rough offensively as BC left the bases loaded in each of the first three innings including not capitalizing on a bases loaded no out situation in the third.

Caleb Foskey

Pitcher JD Holloway though was equal to the task, stranding Gryphon runners on base in each of the first three innings. Things finally changed in the sixth for BC.

Brody Fleming singled with the bases loaded and two outs. It would turn into a four-run inning thanks to two walks and a hit batter with the bases loaded.

Walker Boatright

The Gryphons got two runners on in the seventh. But Holloway induced a groundout to preserve the Royals 4-0 win. He gave up two hits over seven innings, walking one and striking out eight.

Casey Finch

BC’s offense did leave 12 runners on base. Fleming was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Caleb Foskey went 2 for 3. Walker Boatright was 2 for 4. Noah Woodard was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Charles Elliot went 1 for 2.

Bleckley hosts FPD April 12. JV play at 4 pm with varsity to follow. Note: senior night has been moved to April 13 versus Central.
