Recognizing the talent: Awards handed out at post-musical cast party.

An awards ceremony for actors and actresses took place in Cochran Saturday night. No, it wasn't the Oscars. But like the Oscars, it was designed to recognize talent.

Ashley Coulter played Marty.

Certificates and other awards were presented to the cast members of "Grease" at the cast party held in the Arts Alliance Building behind the auditorium after the final performance was held.

Shayne Conner was Marty.

All the members who were a part of the summer camp production received certificates. Seven participants were given bags of candy for always doing what was asked of them the first time. They were: Jade Allen, Shayne Conner, Hannah Coulter, Calvin Bogue, Carly Purser, Taylor Ramage, and Ashley Strickland.

Madison Phelps, who played Sandy, receives her gift card.

Four participants got Movie Gallery gift cards for going above and beyond what was asked of them throughout the week. They were Hope Belflower, Madison Phelps, Dylan Cole, and Clay Blanton.

A round of applause to the cast and crew, and a standing ovation for all the special award winners.
