Ch-ch-changes: Injuries force last minute revisions for BCHS competition cheerleaders.

It's been a rough week for the competition cheerleaders. A pair of freshmen were injured this week during practice. One suffered a severely sprained ankle Monday, the other a foot injury on Thursday.
The injuries forced a revision of their routine on Friday. Though they'd planned to cheer with 14 in order to maximize scores in areas like tumbling, obviously it wasn't intended under these circumstances. Bleckley
though would give it their best effort in Fitzgerald.
Royal fans were sprinkled throughtout an overflowing "Side B" inside Fitzgerald High School Saturday for the sixth annual Cheer Blast competition. The familiar chant of "Bleckley County!" rang out as the squad waited to hear the words "Bleckley County, you may take the floor."
Tumbling was sharp, jumps were good. However, stunting was affected. Only one stunt group stayed up. Bleckley though battled through and supporters rewarded their effort with applause afterwards.
A 15-point deduction meant no trophy. The squad will look to rework, hopefully get healthier, and try again Saturday. They'll be at the Raider Rumble hosted by West Laurens High School.
