A Finish Worth Cheering About For BCMS.

It all came down to this. One last opportunity to shine. A final chance to impress the judges. Tuesday concluded middle school cheer season as the MGMAA Region Cheerleading Championship was held at West Laurens High School, hosted by West Laurens Middle School.

Bleckley came in off their best performance of the season Saturday in Swainsboro. A large contingent of supporters were on hand to cheer on the squad. They gave BC a loud ovation as announcer Tren Hester said "Now taking the mat, Bleckley County Middle School!"

It was a good final performance for the Barons. Except for one person going out of bounds on a tumbling pass, the routine was clean. For the second straight competition, all the stunts stuck. Flyers stayed up. Jumps, tumbling, motions, all were sharp.

Two groups participated in the lib off. They were amongst the final four remaining. When the results were read, there were no more cheers. Bleckley finished fourth. The one deduction did not affect their final placement.

Congratulations to the squad and coaches on their hard work this season.
