Katherine Purser thows to first.

The 9-10 gilrs were already in rare air when they took the field Friday morning in Madison. They'd secured third, tying the 2003 9-10 girls state finish. It was a battle of the BC's again as Bleckley took on Bacon County.

Veronica Lee reached base four times including three hits.

Bleckley's bats were quieted for the first time in an 18-0 loss. After a long layover, it was a rematch from Thursday against Berrien County. Ten runs from 15 first inning batters staked Cochran to a 10-5 lead.

Up 12-9 in the fourth, the Rebelettes scored five times. Three in the home half put Bleckley on top. Tied at 15 in the fifth, Veronica Lee';s RBI hit capped an eight-run inning and 23-15 win. Lee, who missed the morning game due to illness, was 3 for 4.

Elisia Vickers slides safely into second base.

Juliette Stevens went 3 for 4 with a two-run inside the park home run. Joni Lucas was 3 for 4 with a pair of triples. Shelton Dean and Katherine Purser were both 3 for 5, Janayla West was 2 for 2 with a double. Addisyn Keel went 2 for 4. Elisia Vickers, Mishayla Brown, and Darcie Dillard all went 1 for 2.
