Allie Keel throws from her knees at second base.

After a rain-shortened trip to Nahunta over the weekend, BCHS was home Thursday to take on West Laurens in their home opener. The Lady Royals hadn't beaten them since 2010.

Kalee Kitchens receives the ball in time for the out.

Down 3-0 in the third, Bleckley loaded the bases with one out but didn't score. Allie Keel reached to lead off the fourth but was left stranded. Despite having the leadoff batter on in two innings and a runner on in four of seven innings, the Lady Royals lost 5-0.

Faith Harris tags third for the force out.

Kaitlan Brewer was 1 for 2 in her debut. BC is off until August 22 when they travel to Cordele for the Crisp County Watermelon Classic.
