A busy week for the Lady Barons began Monday afternoon in McRae. It was the first of three games. Diamond Day is Saturday in Cochran.

Bailey Odom gets under the ball.

Landa Dominy's RBI groundout in the fourth scored Victoria Long who had walked then stole second in third. Dominy's sixth-inning triple with two outs broke up a no hitter. She came home when it appeared the Telfair catcher dropped a third strike against Abbey Simms and overthrew the ball but the umpire ruled foul tip.

Despite having a pulled hamstring, Riley Edge got a pinch hit in the eight. She stole second then made it to third on Jayla Willis' groundout that gave BCMS the lead.

In the eighth, Dominy was thrown out trying to stretch a double into a triple but her second hit of the game capped BC's three-run outburst. After a weather delay, Macy Haley retired the side in order to cap a 4-1 win.

Landa Dominy recorded the games final two outs.

Haley gave up one run, five hits over eight innings. She struck out five, no walks. Just 12 of her 69 pitches thrown were balls. Dominy was 2 for 4. Bleckley plays at Pulaski County Middle School Tuesday. Game time is 4:30 pm at the rec. department.
