Lady Royals end hot day in Cordele on good note.

Watermelon Tournament play continued for BCHS on a hot Saturday in Cordele. The heat index that afternoon reached 105 degrees. After losing their first two games, Bleckley ended the day on a good note.

Down 4-0 to Crisp County, the Lady Royals scored three runs in their final at bat but lost 4-3. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead versus Berrien but gave up ten runs in the second in losing 12-5.

Hannah Coulter was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Their final gam of the day was against Jackson High School. Up 1-0 after a third inning sac fly by Chrystal Harris, Coulter's two-run double in the fourth was part of a three-run inning.

Three more in the fifth capped Bleckley's 7-2 win. Coulter was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI. Chelsea Brady was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. The Lady Royals host Wilcox County Monday at 5 pm.
