It was another early morning for Barons cheerleaders as BCMS traveled to Milledgeville for the Greyhound Cheer Invitational hosted by Jones County High School. Bleckley was in the small middle school division. Made up mainly of schools like Bleckley and JR Trippe, Ola Middle School, who's high school is 5A, was also in the division.

Leading off was BC. A large group of supporters welcomed them to the floor. BC had added things to their routine including switchups for stunts. They had another solid performance. Good jumps, loud, crisp motions. Tumbling was better this week as there were no deductions.

Fans again cheered after their performance. After the larger middle school division, there was a longest lib (lib off) competition. Bleckley competed. Their name wasn't read during the results.

However, they did finish third. It was their best finish since finishing third at region in 2012. In terms of regular season competitions, it was the best finish since 2010.

BC will look to build on it at the Falcon Frenzy October 4. Start time is10 am at East Laurens High School.
