After struggling at East Laurens, BCHS showed signs of improvement last week at Veterans High Schol's Battle of the Bests. Saturday, they looked to continue that trend at the Bulldawg Cheer Classic hosted by Mary Persons High School.

The familiar chant of "Bleckley County" could be heard as the squad prepared to enter. Once they did, supporters were treated to what was easily BC's best performance of the season. Though nicked up, they were relatively healthy and it showed.

Every stunt stuck. There were no drops. Everything went up as it was supposed to. The only deductions came on knees down during tumbling passes. Supporters could sense from the squad their joy as the routine ended. This was it, the week things finally came together.

The announcement of first place brought another loud cheer. It was the first time in over a month BCHS had won. Everyone, especially head coach Heather Davis, was overjoyed and proud of how things went.

Kneeling L-R: Logan Nobles, Ashley Morrow, Megan Wade, Alondria Clemons. Second row: Henley Dean, Allie Smith, Leansley Mullis, Shayla Nobles, Carli Purser, Hanna Dykes, Logan Williamson, Anna Rolland. Third row: Calli White, Victoria Paulk, Savannah Stokes, daylin Dean, Dallis Jade Francis, Emily Collins. Coaches Heather Davis and Christie Dean.

Bleckley will have their final tuneup before region at Union Grove High School November 1.
