A pink night at CBRD.

Pink was on display on several fields including the coach pitch 7-8 girls game.


Sometimes good ideas come late. The idea for this year's "Pink Out" during Thursday's fall baseball and softball games at the Cochran-Bleckley Rec. Department came Sunday night and was decided Monday.

Darcie Dillard had pink socks and hairbow as she tags out Veronica Lee.


But as is the case with good ideas, it turned out well. Several boys and girls teams had on either pink shirts, socks, or other items. It also allowed one team to honor a couple of mom's who are battling the disease.

Lisa Dixon and Kim Fernandez were there to support their sons as they battle breast cancer.


Kim Fernandez and Lisa Dixon were there to support their sons Jack and Parker. Both are battling breast cancer. The team had on pink shirts and there were signs on the dugouts in support. CBRD officials hope to have a bigger event next year.
