Barons celebrate football season.

The BCMS football team held their awards ceremony Tuesday evening in the high school auditorium. Honors were handed out by Head coach Mike Lee and assistant Greg Collins. Assistant Gary Arnold was at home recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Seventh grade perfect attendance award winners.


Players received participation certificates. The first award, perfect attendance at practice, was started by former coach Frank Taylor said Lee. Recipients were as follows. Seventh grade- Keith Anderson, Brice Bailey, Shane Bryant, Hugh Cairney, Willie Chambers, Lane Coleman, Arkensio Hayes, Terrance Rozier, Dalton Sheppard, Bradley Taylor, Patrick Taylor, Jalen Walker, Aijiuan Williams, Beau Williams, Ty Williams.

Eighth grade perfect attendance award winners.


Eighth grade (one year)- Will Collins, Kenny Farrow, Mekell Farrow, Cade Jones, Reggie Lopez, Ankevis Mathis, Dawson Mitchum, Shamar Rouse. Two year perfect attendance awards went to Nykeem Farrow, Mika Floyd, and Joseph Davis.

Three players had never missed a day of practice during their entire middle school career.


Future Barons Award- Bryant, Rozier, Ty Williams, Demontrez Ates. Highest GPA awards went to Carirney and Floyd. Nykeem Farrow and Mitchum shared best offensive back honors. Lopez and Jones were both selected as Best Defensive Linemen.

Rozier won the Receiver Award. Collins was named Best Offensive Lineman. Mitchum won Best Linebacker and Nykeem Farrow was Best Defensive Back. Both received the Captain's Award as voted by teammates. Benji Hutto was named Most Improved Player.

Mekell Farrow, Davis, and Floyd received the Coaches' Award. Congratulations to all the award winners.
