After missing two games this week because of weather issues, BCMS finally took the field Saturday against West Laurens. On what was a cold morning, the Barons bats were also cold.

Jack Fernandez sets to throw from short.

Down 1-0 after a half inning, Bleckley had runners at second and third with no one out but did not score. It was 4-0 Raiders in the third. Jack Fernandez smacked a two-run home run to cut the deficit in half. But two more runners were stranded.

Steven Knighton would make the scoop for the out.

WLMS would three more runs over the final four innings to win 7-2. Bleckley stranded seven baserunners. Fernandez finished 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Parker Dixon was 2 for 2 with a double.

Carson Waters goes back to make a catch.

Region play continues Monday at JR Trippe. Game time is 4 pm.
