The weather was springlike Tuesday as BCHS welcomed Jeff Davis to Cochran. The Royals looked to break a four-game losing streak to the 'Jackets but Bleckley's offense remained cold.

Down 1-0 after a half inning, BC stranded a runner in the first then stranded runners at second and third in each of the next two innings. Still down 1-0 in the fifth, a runner at second with one out was stranded.

A five-run Yellow Jacket seventh capped all scoring as in a 6-0 loss. Two players accounted for the team's three hits. Ty Edge was 2 for 3. Zac Evans went 1 for 2.

Bleckley plays at East Laurens Thursday. JV play at 4 pm with varsity to follow.
