Catching up with Bleckley FFA.

The Senior Wildlife Management Team.


It's been an exciting few days for Bleckley FFA as members have done well at competitions and advisors received honors for their work. Saturday, the Senior Wildlife Management Team of Blake Bohannon, Cooper Felkins, Dylan Cole, and Tucker Felkins, finished second at state competition held in Athens.

State lawnmower competition was held Saturday. John Austin Stewart finished state runner up in the senior division. Chandler Peacock was ninth in the Junior division.

Monday, FFA teachers Walt Parkrs and Doyle Floyd were recognized in Atlanta at the State Capital. Representative Bubber Epps sponsored a House resolution recognizing Parks as the GACTE (Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education) Teacher of the Year. Floyd was recognized as FFA Alumni Teacher of the Year.

Wednesday, three other FFA members qualified for state in April. Jacob Smith finished first in Junior level prepared public speaking. Cooper Felkins finished second in senior level public speaking. Lizzy Parks was second in FFA creed recital.
