Boys track team second, girls fifth, at region.

Last year, BCMS had their lowest number of track participants in recent memory. Just a few distance runners. This season, Bleckley has had full participation in all events. Field, short and long distance.



Wednesday was MGMSAA region. East Laurens hosted for a second straight year. The girls finished fifth, three points out of the top four. Results are as follows



Girls discus- McKinely Cranford, sixth. Shot put- Yahtayah Stubbs, fifth, Zatesa Taylor, sixth. High jump- Taylor and Shykemmia Chambers tied for fourth. Bleckley 4x100 Team "A" got second.



100 meter dash- Kyla Thomas, second. Thomas got fourth in the 200 meter dash. 400 Meter run- Rebecca Arnold, fourth. 800 meter run- Abbi Beflower, sixth. 1600 meter run- Austin Perez, third.



Cranford was fourth. Perez and Cranford were third and sixth in the 3200 meter run. Both 4x400 teams scored points, "A" finished third, "B" seventh.



The boys finished second, scoring 104 points. Results look like this. Boys discus- Demontrez Ates, third. Triple jump- Jonah White fourth, Akenzio Hayes, eighth. High jump-Nykeem Farrow third, Ladontrez Girtman, seventh.



4x100 team "A" finished third. Farrow won the 100 meter dash and third in the 200 meter dash. Ates was fourth in the 200. CJ Rich won the 800 and 1600 meter run. Julian Pligrim was fourth in the 1600.



White was fifth in the 100 meter hurdles and won the 300 meter hurdles.



Placing seventh in the 300 hurdles was Kelcey Dennis. 3200 meter run- Jacob Johnson, second, Nicholas Chapman, third. 4x400 Team "A" finished fifth.
