Inspirational messages such as this were in the slideshow put together by the family of Logan Nobles. There was one for the season, the supporters, and the seniors.

During her remarks at Monday's basketball cheerleading awards, head coach Heather Davis said she wasn't sure how having a basketball only squad would go. It was the first time she'd coached one, and the first one for BCHS in many years.

But she was happy with how things turned out, and when asking the girls if they had fun, they said "yes." Davis credited squad members for coming up with a lot of the things they did by either creating chants or tweaking things heard.

Letter certificates were given out. Of the Scholar Athlete award, Davis said it was important because it was key to have grades in order to be able to participate in any sport or activity. The scholar athlete went to: Maggie Collins, Gracie Hollows, Faith Harris, Chrystal Harris, Sydney Sandoval, Destiny Pollard, Tychee Veal, and Jasia Taylor.

As this was her first year, Davis had just one other award to present. She asked the girls to let her know if they had any for the future. It was the Captain's Award, voted on by squadmates. Winners were Logan Nobles and Faith Harris.

Ending the night with a "Royals on three".

Gifts to seniors and to coaches, and a closing prayer by Davis, helped wrap up the evening. Congratulations to the squad on their exciting season.
