The Lady Royals had little time to worry about yesterday's tough loss at Schley County as they began region play Tuesday afternoon. Bleckley took on Putnam County as the quest to repeat as 4-AA champions began.

Taylor Dykes has given up one earned run in her last 26 innings pitched.

A two on, no out, opportunity in the first produced no runs. In the third, BC would take advantage of having two on with one out. Abby Simms had a bunt RBI single, Kendall Morton an RBI groundout. Taylor Dykes' fourth inning sac fly made it 3-0.

BCHS added two more in the fifth. Morton's RBI single in the sixth capped a three-run inning and an 8-0 win. She finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Faith Harris went 4 for 4. Allie Keel went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.

This head first slide was part of Faith Harris' perfect day at the plate.

Region play continues Thursday versus Crawford County. Game time is 5 pm and it will be played at Gordon College in Barnesville.
