Missed opportunities, mistakes, cost Lady Barons versus JR Trippe.

The Lady Barons looked to get back on track Monday in Vidalia versus JR Trippe. They got off to a good start but could not finish.

Up 3-0 after an inning and a half, the Lady Chiefs got three to tie things. JRT got one in the third to go up 4-3. Though BC tied the score on Ashlyn Williams' fourth inning double, the tying run was left at third with no one out.

Three runs in the home half made it 7-4. Bleckley stranded two on with two out in the fifth. Down 8-4 in the sixth, Addisyn Keel's pinch got a runner home but two more were stranded. Seven runners would be left on base as BCMS lost 10-5. They committed four errors.

Caroline Thrower was safe at third.


Williams went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Riley Edge was 2 for 4. The Lady Barons host Dodge County Thursday at 4:30 pm.
