BCHS was back in action Saturday, traveling to Jeff Davis for the Cotton Cheer Classic. It'd been a couple of years since Bleckley visited, they won first place to start off that year.

Despite the drive, a large group of supporters made the drive. They filled both bleachers of the "VIP Area" on stage set up for fans to view their squads and cheered loudly as Bleckley was called to the floor.

Like last week, the Royals had energy and good motions. They had full squad jumping despite one member still dealing with a knee injury. However, there were problems. A stunt group once again came down early.

One person fell when tumbling. Part of the pyramid was dropped. Still they battled through to complete the routine and fans cheered their efforts. A look at the scoresheet would show deductions.

But these invitationals are designed to allow for squads to make mistakes so they can be fixed for region and state. Bleckley will travel to Swainsboro October 3. Start time is 1 pm.
