Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch used to ask residents "How'm I doin?". Monday was a day to find out how Middle Georgia State University was doing in the community and their plans for the future.

Guests enjoy food and other refreshments.

A collection of employees, alumni, community leaders, and friends gathered inside Alderman Hall to hear from President Dr. Christopher Blake about what Middle Georgia State had done and their plans for the future.

Some of the improvements Blake mentioned included nine Bachelors Degrees (up from three), more digitally connected classes and more online classes. He also pointed to the graduate degrees that will be offered upon approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. A M.S in Information Technology and a M.S. in Nursing.

This slide was designed to highlight the value of an education at Middle Georgia State and the economic impact in Cochran.

Two more degree programs are under development, a M.A. in Teaching, Secondary Education, and a Master of Science in Management. He went over campus improvements including the Student Social Space and Papa John's Pizza (Papa John's is open to the community), renovation of the library as well as renovation and repairs to several halls on campus.

Future plans include more library renovation as well as a remodeling of the cafeteria. The meeting ended with questions from the audience.
