The 8-u girls looked to rebound from Saturday's rough day at district. A win versus Jenkins County and BC would clinch a state berth, a first for the 8-u division.

Down 4-3 after an inning, a six-run third and five-run fourth would put Bleckley into the title game 14-5. Emma Wilson and Kaylee Rae Barrs each had three hits. Lyric Stevens, Addison Hill, Zymori Colson, and Jaycee Lyles all chipped in with two hits.

The team with Caleb Hill along with coaches Chris Hill, Chan Jones, Ashley Barlow, Jason Dean, and head coach Brandon Barrs.


Against Glennville, BC scored five in the first. But the offense would go cold with just three hits over the next four innings. Glennville scored 14 runs over the final three innings to win 17-7 Barrs had two hits. BC opens state July 14 at 8 pm in Sylvania.
