The rail at West Laurens was a prime viewing spot for many.

Bleckley and West Laurens had met in the regular season the past four years. Friday night, the teams met in a scrimmage in Dexter. It was a chance for coaches to see the young Royals matchup against a Raider team that made it to the second round of state last year.

A one-yard touchdown run on the Raiders second possession gave them a 7-0 lead with 5:55 left. On the Royals next drive, Keyshon Beck had the Royals best play early, making it to the Raider 45. But the next play resulted in a fumble. Torenio Davis would intercept a pass soon after WL took over.

Keyshon Beck had several plays at wingback.

Bleckley though would be unable to capitalize. Another short touchdown run with 11:06 left in the second made it 14-0 Raiders. Still down two scores with 5:05 left in the half, the Royals went for it on fourth and sixth from the Raider 26.

Mika Floyd connected with Willie Taylor on a touchdown pass and the lead was cut in half. A Raider touchdown pass with 7:06 left in the third put them ahead two scores. Cazembe Brown had an interception in the quarter to stop a potential Raider drive.
