The Lady Royals looked to rebound from last night's poor game against Vidalia as they returned to Cordele for more Watermelon Tournament games. Their first opponent was Schley County.

Bailey Odom got her second pitching win.

BC scored six in the first en route to a 12-1 win. Hannah Coulter went 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBI. Taylor Dykes and Landa Dominy each went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI. Jordan Williams was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Abby Sims went 1 for 2. Riley Edge threw a one-hitter.

Aliyah Whitehead squeezes a catch in centerfield.

Their final game of the weekend was against Coffee High School. Four in the first erased an early two-run deficit. Up 6-2 after three, a pair of Lady Trojans runs cut the deficit in half.

Hannah Coulter drove in a run with this sac fly.

Bleckley added three more in the bottom of the fourth. Coffee would challenge by scoring three with two outs in the fifth but the Lady Royals hung on 9-6. Williams was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Aliyah Whitehead was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Dominy was 2 for 2. Coulter went 1 for 2 with two-run double and sac fly. Faith Harris went 1 for 2.

Abby Sims sets to throw from third base.

Region play resumes Tuesday at Washington County. Game time is 5:30 pm.
