Abbey Sims sets to throw from third,

Tuesday afternoon, FPD took the lead thanks to a couple of mistakes by the Lady Royals. Though the Bleckley offense would squander numerous scoring chances, a pair of Lady Viking errors in the seventh led to BC's comeback.

Jordan Williams steps on second.

It was 2-0 after one inning thanks to a throwing error and wild pitch. Bleckley failed to score with runners at first and third with one out in the first as well as first and second, one out, in the second. Taylor Dykes single with one out in the fifth got BC on the board but two more runners were left.

Riley Edge gets the ball at first to complete a double play.

A first and third, no outs opportunity in the sixth also produced no runs. Dykes doubled with one out in the seventh. She scored from second when the throw on Aliyah Whitehead's bunt went into right field. Landa Dominy sacrificed Whitehead, who had gone to second on the error, to third.

Aliyah Whitehead scored the game winning run.

The FPD second baseman dropped Hannah Coulter's fly ball, allowing Whitehead to score. A Lady Vikings player who reached with two outs was left stranded as Bleckley won 3-2. Dykes finished 2 for 3. Faith Harris was 2 for 4. Region play resumes at Dodge County Thursday. Game time is 5:30 pm.
