Missed opportunities again cost Lady Royals.

Faith Harris sets to throw.

When the Lady Royals and Dodge County met earlier this month, BC would miss several scoring opportunities in losing 4-3. History repeated itself in Tuesday's rematch.

Abbey Sims throws from her knees to first base.

Leadoff singles by Hannah Coulter in the second and Faith Harris in the fourth produced no runs. BC got out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth but would be unable to capitalize on loading the bases in the sixth.

Riley Edge makes the scoop for the out.

After getting out of another bases loaded jam in the seventh, Landa Dominy led off the home half with a double. Jordan Williams walked with one out. But pinch runner Tori Long was thrown out trying to score on Abbey Sims' single and Williams was thrown out at third. That forced an International Tiebreaker.

Bailey Odom gets the lead runner at second.

Trailing 1-0, Bleckley loaded the bases with one out. A throwing error on a ball hit by Dykes brought home the game tying run. However, after a fielder's choice by Coulter and throwing error to first, she would be doubled off because the runner at third would go back to the bag after going partially down the line.

The home bleachers were packed with students to cheer on BC.

Dodge scored five in the ninth. Dominy's second double capped all scoring as BCHS lost 6-2, leaving eight runners on base. She finished 3 for 3. Sims was 2 for 3.

Aliyah Whitehead points toward home as Tori Long rounds third.

Bleckley will be the second seed and take on Dublin in the 3-AA tournament October 4 at Southern Pines. They close out the regular season Thursday at Southwest Macon. Game time is 5 pm.
