Faith Harris signs as parents Shemanda and Willie Harris look on.

Faith Harris became the third Lady Royals softball player to continue her career at the collegiate level, signing with Albany State University. A 3-AA All Region First Team selection as well as honorable mention for the AA All State Team, Harris hit .345 with four doubles, two triples, and 21 RBI. She had a .945 fielding percentage.

Also at the signing, athletic director Von Lassiter announced that Janice Bryan was stepping down as head coach and longtime assistant Teresa Gray would be moving up to head coach.

Bryan took over the program in 2011. She, along with Gray, led the Lady Royals to the program's first fastpitch elite eight appearance in 2011. Bleckley has won two region titles (2011, 2014) and has advanced to the sweet 16 the past three seasons.

Lassiter's announcement was to confirm information known by many as Bryan had already spoken to players about the move.
