Husband and wife business owners appreciate people who "shopped small."

Pictured are Dani and Rob Dykes. Dani owns Needle N/A Haystack, Rob is owner of Dykes Pharmacy. Both were open during “Small Business Saturday,” the annual event designed to get people to shop at local businesses. Each also participated in the Chamber of Commerce promotion where people who shopped at businesses open would be entered into a contest for “Bleckley Bucks,” currency which can be spent at numerous businesses in Cochran. Dani and Rob both appreciate everyone who came by their stores and “shopped small.”

Cochran Women's Club thanks community for support of service project.

As part of a statewide community service project, Cochran Women's Club collected items for victims of domestic abuse at Walmart. Donations will go toward the Salvation Army safe house in Warner Robins. There were so many donations that shopping carts had to be used for collections. Cochran Women's Club thanks the community for their donations and support. Pictured with the donations are members Maureen Stoy and Sandy Jarrett.

26 teams for 28th Touchdown Club golf tournament,





It was a busy day at Uchee Trail as 26 teams participated in the 28th annual Royal Golf Tournament sponsored by the Touchdown Club. The tournament is the club's major fundraiser, money will go toward expenses for the upcoming season including pre and postgame food and drink for players. The club thanks Uchee Trail for allowing them to host it as well as volunteers, sponsors, and participants for their support.

Royal Singers thank community for support of bake sale.



Despite cold temperatures and many still sleepy from a busy night at prom, members of the BCHS Royal Singers were up early Saturday morning at a bake sale in the Pre-K parking lot. Proceeds will go toward travel and other costs of competing at the Southern Stars Music Festival this May in Atlanta. The Royal Singers thank everyone for their donations and support.

Participants in this year's BCHS Mini Cheer Camp performed during halftime of both basketball games Friday night. The groups showed their cheers and jumps learned during the week. Proceeds from the camp will benefit the cheerleading program. The cheerleaders thank everyone who allowed them the opportunity to work with their children.

Thanks to your generosity, over $9,000 was raised that will go toward medical and travel expenses to help Brian in his battle with cancer.
