The City of Cochran will celebrate its 15oth anniversary March 17-23. As part of the celebration, a student writing contest is being held.

Open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, winners will receive either a Dairy Queen meal (kindergarten through second grade) or cash prizes for grades three and up. Each group has its own subject and rules.

Students can talk to their Language Arts/English teacher for details. Information sheets are also available at the Tessie W. Norris Library. All entries are due by February 15. Contact Sandy Jarrett, sandy9406@gmail.com, for more information. Here are the rules for all groups.
