Pilot Club of Cochran talks brain safety with Pre-K students.

(Courtesy BleckleyProgress.com contributor) Pilot Club member Jackie Jones shows students one of the bike helmets they'll be receiving.
Members of Pilot Club of Cochran visited Bleckley Pre-K yesterday and presented a Pilot Internationalís BrainMinders ô brain-safety education program and puppet show. Following the presentation, each child received a bike helmet to take home and use when riding their bike. Brain injury is a leading cause of death and serious permanent injury to young children and teenagers. Throughout the world, brain injury occurs every 15 seconds. The programís goal is to minimize the statistics for brain injury and teach children to be responsible for their own brain safety. Bleckley Pre-K appreciates the Pilot Club partnering with them to help educate and promote safety in children.
