Grease Was The Word At BCMS.

It was back to the 50's inside the BCMS cafeteria Tuesday night as the chorus presented "Grease." Hannah Coulter played Sanday, Bailey Deavers was Danny. Shayla Nobles played Pink Ladies leader Rizzo.

Soccer Teams Celebrate Season.

Interim coach Benjy Rogers was presented with a soccer ball signed by the team as token of appreciation.
Despite a coaching change, both the boys and girls soccer teams went to state and played close matches in the first round. Players and families gathered at La Cabana Tuesday for food, fellowship, and to recognize those who contributed to this season's success.

The BCMS and BCHS tennis programs have worked together for years producing numerous star players and region titles. Tuesday, all four teams gathered in the high school auditorium to celebrate their seasons.

Bleckley BOE Accepts Resignations of Coaches.

At Tuesday's regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting, a pair of coaching resignations were accepted. Cliff Kerbo officially resigned after coaching boys basketball for nine years. He will take the head coaching job at Putnam County. Also resigning was assistant football coach Ted Belflower. Belflower coached for seven years, serving this season as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. He was also boys head golf coach and is a former boys and girls track coach. Belflower accepted a coaching job at Dodge County High School.
