Tennis teams lose at FPD.

BCHS Tennis lost matches played at FPD Wednesday afternoon. Scores were 2-3 girls, 1-4 boys. Bleckley will make up their matches versus Jefferson County postponed from February 26 March 30 at 4 pm in Louisville.

BCMS band members selected for GMEA First Year Honor Band.

The students learned music in six hours then put on a concert that was held at Central High School. on March 20. Those participating were: Anylah Beck – flute. Saige Dominy – flute. Nicole Tharp – clarinet. Brooklyn Carey - Alto saxophone. Emma Becker – Trumpet. Audrey Eisele – Trumpet. Laila Hogg – Baritone. Wednesday Moreno – Tuba.

Soccer teams split with Dodge County.



Braylee Cobb had a hat trick as the Lady Royals beat Dodge County 4-0 Tuesday afternoon. Bri Harrell had a goal and an assist. Elyse Potts had an assist. Jana Tomlin had 10 saves and an assist also. In boys action, the Royals trailed the Indians 2-0 at halftime but tied the game on second half goals by Landon Smith and Conor Cairney. Tied at 2 after regulation, the game went into overtime. Dodge got a penalty kick goal in the first five-minute session. It proved to be the only score as BC fell 3-2. It was a tough loss for the Royals as Dodge played part of the second half and both overtime periods with nine players due to two ejections. BCHS hosts East Laurens March 26. Girls play at 5 pm with boys to follow.
