High School Sports
Girls fall, boys win at Northeast.

The Lady Royals trailed at Northeast 28-12 at halftime Tuesday night. BC tried to mount a second half comeback but lost 55-52. Camya Harris scored 13 points. Lyric Stephens had 11 points. The Royals won 50-36. Jason McNulty led with 16 points. Malachi Ates had 13 points. BC hosts Hawkinsville January 30. Girls tip at 6 pm with boys to follow.

Big third quarters propel BC to sweep versus Wilco.

Big third quarters by both the Lady Royals and Royals helped them to sweep Saturday's home games and the season series against Wilkinson County. (Editor's note: Somehow I managed to bump my camera and screw up the settings, thus some of the photos had to be edited and look kind of horrible. I apologize.)

Getting ready for baseball season.

BCHS baseball held their annual “Meet the Players” social Friday night in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. As part of the event, four players who had secured sponsorships from the community participated in the wing eating contest. Sophomore Cullen Senters won by consuming 90 wings. Dugout Club President Jessica Boatirght spoke regarding fundraising for this season. Head coach Brad Davis spoke about things such as team policies and goals as well as introduced the coaching staff and players.
The Dugout Club is doing a Valentine’s Day fundraiser. It’s based upon the midday, evening, and night Cash 3 drawings that will take place February 14. The midday winner wins $250, the evening wins $500, and the night winner will get an AR-15 with an AGM Rattler V2 Thermal Scope. Tickets can be purchased from any baseball parent or coach. Season tickets which will get you into every regular season game are also on sale for $100. Contact Boatright or Davis to purchase.’

Basketball teams fall at Central.

The Lady Royals lost 67-27 at Central Friday night. The Royals lost 42-30. Rashod Farrow had 12 points. BC hosts Wilkson County tomorrow. Girls tip at 5 pm with boys to follow. The 2026 Sweetheart Court will be presented during halftime of the boys game.

BCHS gets first regoin sweep of the season.

Canya Harris had 14 points and Kalyria Jones added 12 points as the Lady Royals won at A.C.E. 41-38 Tuesday night. Jason McNulty scored 20 points to lead the Royals in their 60-44 win, the first region win for the Royals and first region sweep for BCHS this season. Rashod Farrow scored 16 points and Patrick Roberts added 11 points. Bleckley travels to Central January 23. Girls tip at 6 pm with boys to follow.
