Lady Royals soccer advances in playoff thriller.

The team with coaches Jennifer Mays, Haley Holloway and Courtney White.

BCHS Girls Soccer opened the GHSA playoffs at home Tuesday afternoon versus Dade County. The game was scoreless after 80 minutes and two 10-minute overtime periods. That meant penalty kicks. In the first 5v5 PK session, Anniston Howell and Braylee Cobb scored. Dade also made two kicks, which sent the game into sudden death penalty kicks. In that session, Daylee Scoggins connected for BC only to see Dade score to even the tally. But Julia Arnodl scored and Jana Tomlin stopped the next Lady Wolverine shot to give Bleckley a dramatic 1-0 win. They�ll travel to Bremen April 28. In boys playoff action, the Royals saw their season end with a 2-0 loss at Toombs County Tuesday night.

Tennis teams advance in playoffs.

(Photos contributed.) The BCHS Tennis teams advanced to round two of the state playoffs with wins at home Tuesday afternoon. The girls beat Gordon Central 5-0, they�ll host the winner of Berrien and Social Circle next week. The boys beat Lamar County 5-0 and await the winner of Social Circle and Worth County next week.

Senior track team members were recognized after the meet.

In their final year of membership in Region 2A, Division 1, BCHS swept the region championship track meet held Monday in Cochran. ***All non action photos contributed.***

Soccer teams split regualr season finale.

The Lady Royals lost to Jones County 4-0 Thursday afternoon. Jana Tomilin recorded 14 saves, Jalycia �Cupcake� Stanely had seven The Royals won via penalty kicks 5-4. Regulation goals came from Will Dean, two from Landon Smith, and a penalty kick from Harrison Rogers. Overtime penalty kicks came from Jonah Kelly, Will Dean, Alex Gillis, and Greyson Arnold. Playoffs begin next week, details are TBD.

Royals cruise past Bulldogs to end regular season.

Gavin Cole went 4 for 5 with 3 RBI as BCHS easily won their regular season finale at ECI 12-2 Thursday afternoon. Lane Sapp was 3 for 5 with 1 RBI. Jay Johnson was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Noah Woodard and Casey Finch were 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Walker Boatright was 2 for 5 with 1 RBI. Bleckley will open the state playoffs at home April 24. Details are TBD.
