BCHS softball has been busy this July preparing for the upcoming season. Friday, they had their final summer scrimmage against Brantley County. It was one last chance for players to get ready as well as an opportunity for coaches Haley Holloway and Courtney White to check out the team. It also provided an opportunity for both Addison Hill and Kaylee Rae Barrs to pitch. The Lady Royals open the regular season August 1 at Veterans. Start time is 6:30 pm. They�ll be at Citizens Bank tomorrow from 8 am to noon for their annual car wash and bake sale.

The Lady Royals will have their final summer scrimmage game versus Brantley County July 26 at 4 pm. It will be played at Middle Georgia State University on the Knights softball field.

The Georgia Dugout Club announced their postseason All State Teams Monday. BCHS was well represented with six players being selected. Firs team- Pitcher, Braegan Cravey. Infield, Steven Knighton. (Photos contributed.) BCHS baseball held their awards banquet Friday night. The Royals won region and made it to the quarterfinals. All Region Selections were recognized. BC had nine receive all-region honors including Player of the Year Braegan Cravey and Offensive Player of the Year Shane Knighton. Jacoby Mullis and Eli Foskey were the JV Offensive Co-Players of the Year. JD Holloway was JV Pitcher of the Year. For varsity, Josh Dillard won the Coaches� Award and Relief Pitcher of the Year, Brady Brannon was Pitcher of the Year. Jacob Grant and Walker Boatright shared Defensive Player of the Year honors and Shane Knighton was Offensive Player of the Year. Cravey,, Knighton and Grant received Captain�s Awards. Congratulations to all the award winners.
