BCHS made their first trip to the Palace, home of Wilkinson County High School, a successful one as both the Lady Royals and Royals prevailed.

Athletic signing ceremony held at BCHS.

An athletic signing ceremony was held Thursday afternoon in the BCHS auditorium. Signing their national letters of intent were: Gavin Cole, baseball at South Geogia State University. Cole hit .438 with 35 RBI his Junior year. Ella Gibbs., cross country at Augusta University. Gibbs is a three-time individual region champion and a three-time individual state champion for BCHS. Jack Harrell, cross country at the University of West Georgia. Harrell was the individual state champion this year and a key in leading the boys to two straight titles. Kelsey Sanders, cross country at Middle Georgia State University. She finished 14th at state and is the first Runnin’ Royal to be signed by the MGSU program. The athletes are pictured left to right. Congratulations to all.

Boys basketball falls in scrimmage game to Jasper County.

The BCHS boys basketball team scrimmaged Jasper County Tuesday night. Tyreke Hall hit a 3 in the final seconds of the fourth to send the game into overtime tied at 38. But down two with about 20 seconds left, BC couldn’t get the game tying shot in losing 48-46. Marty Beck scored 13 points. The regular season begins December 5 at Wilkinson County. Girls tip at 6 pm with boys to follow.

Offensive Player of the Year among all region selections for Royals.

The Region 2A, Division 1 All Region Football teams were announced Tuesday. Junior quarterback Brody Fleming was named region Offensive Player of the Year. Other selections were as follows. First team offense- Octavius Tate, Connor Cairney, Brysen Rogers. First team defense- Tug Pasby, Landry Nobles, Jireh Campbell. Second Team offense- Kelvin Sneed. There were also numerous honorable mentions. Congratulaions to all who made it.
