Weekend coverage plans and other site news.

First off, I'm sorry about the lack of content today. The pickings are slim with no football, and other high school sports either off or not started in the case of cheerleading. Plus, community events are still limited due to COVID-19.

Because I look to you for help in being able to continue the site financially, I always feel guilty when there's a lack of content. I feel guilty about having to hold content until Monday when there's only one article. Unfortunately, it's one of those things.

As to tomorrow, my tentative plan is to go to Cordele to cover two local-based softball teams playing. Given the schedule of pool play and bracket play games, it will be difficult. Should I not make it, I will get group photos should either team finish first or second.

Financially, things aren't perfect. Efforts are still being made to try and sell the remaining farmland. I have more expenses now (utilities) while having to rely on limited personal income and what I bring from the site.

If you want to help, there are many ways you can help. DOnations via the button on the left hand corner of the site or via my GoFundMe (Help Dave and Bleckley Progress.) If you have VCR tapes you'd like to convert to DVD, I can do it for $10 a tape.

There's also the special announcements section. It's for anything not news. Congratulate your favorite senior, wish someone a happy birthday, all for just $15.

Please understand I'm not trying to beat you over the head with any of this. It's just things remain unsettled and as my grandmother used to say when I'd try to help her with something "I need all the help I can get." The transferring of tapes and special announcements are ways of me helping you while you help me also.

Regardless of whether you feel like helping financially, I would ask you to continue to pray for me. Like many of you, 2020 has beaten me up in many ways.

Thanks for your continued readership and support.
