Riley Haley squeezes a catch in left field.

Just four games remained in the regular season as BCHS made the short trip to Hawkinsville Wednesday afternoon. While tomorrow’s region game against Lamar County would have an obviously bigger impact on the playoffs, this game provided an opportunity to sweep a longtime rival.

Jordyn Krieg sets to throw.

Darci Dillard’s two-run home run in the second erased an early deficit. Three in the third and an E’lisia Vickers groundout in the fourth pushed the lead to 6-1. The Lady Red Devils scored two in the fifth.

Trinity Glover receives the ball at first base.

It was the last inning pitcher Jordyn Krieg gave up baserunners. Riley Haley’s RBI single in the seventh capped a 7-3 Lady Royals win. Krieg was 2 for 4. Haley went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Clara Rickerson went 3 for 5 with a double.

Clara Rickerson sets to throw from third base,

Rebecca Bowling was 3 for 4. Trinity Glover went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Regan Wimberly was 2 for 4. BCHS hosts Lamar County tomorrow in a JV/varsity doubleheader starting at 4 pm.
