Top performances honored at Lady Barons awards banquet.

Sixth grade players with their certificates.


With a roster full of underclassmen, it was a tough softball season overall for the Lady Barons. They were able to end their season on a high note by winning at Dodge County.

Tuesday evening, parents, players, and coaches gathered for an awards banquet. Because of COVID-19, everyone’s temperature was checked before entering. Pre-packed BBQ chicken meals from Scott’s were handed out.

All players received certificates. Eighth graders also got to carry home their purple jerseys as well as the banner made for them thanks to the Homerun Club. Specific awards were as follows.

Watford and Amiyah Roberts.


Heart and Hustle Award- Cayleigh Francis. Coaches Award- Jaylen Dollar. Most Improved- Addison Hill. Scholar Athletes- Sixth grade, Josie Lanfair. Seventh grade, Jana Tomlin. Eighth grade, Taylor Watford.

Defensive Players of the Year- Outfield, Amiyah Roberts. Infield, Taylor Watford. Newcomer of the Year- Jada Davis. Offensive Player of the Year- Emma Wilson. Pitcher of the Year- Kaylee Rae Barrs.

Lyric Stephens.


Quobby Award (for things like drawing walks, other quality at bats to help the team)- Lyric Stephens. Watford was named MVP. Before a parent vs player dodgeball game took place, eighth grade players presented cards and gifts to coaches Dusty Jones and Christy Jones. Congratulations to all the award winners.
