Where the football writeup was and other things.

By now you know BCHS advanced to the elite eight of the GHSA football playoffs for the first time since 2006 with a 41-7 win at Early County Friday night. Jahvon Butler had 74 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns.

Chuckie Stephens had 50 yards on 15 carries and two scores. The Royals travel to Rabun County for their next game.

So why wasn't I at the game Friday? Very simply, I thought it was too far for me to drive alone. I'm sorry, but there are some places I can't get to. Especially given how the weather was messy.

Why was there no writeup before? Unforeseen circumstances delayed game stats. I couldn't do anything without them.

No, I won't be able to go Friday. It's just too far for me to drive. I'm sorry because I know how important football is to many of you. And I dislike not being able to cover important stories live. Times like this, I miss my dad because he was willing to go with me to places I couldn't get to.

All I can promise you is I'll do the best I can to have some type of article as fast as I can. Thanks for your continued readership and support.
