BCMS welcomed East Laurens to Cochran Wednesday afternoon. It was the last home game before Christmas break as the schedule had been revised, home and away dates swapped. Fans who attended saw two close contests.

The Lady Barons took a 19-11 lead to the fourth quarter but were outscored 11-3. A free throw with seven seconds was the point that sent the game to overtime tied 22-22. Down one with ten seconds left, BC got the ball back after a jump ball.

Kalyria Jones scored with nine seconds left. It proved to be the game winner as the girls got their first win of the season 25-24.

Jaylin Gardner’s layup in the final seconds of the second quarter gave the Barons a 13-11 lead. BC ran off seven straight in the third to break a 21 all tie but a buzzer-beating three by the Falcons cut the deficit in half.

EL got within three points numerous times. BC though would hold on to win 36=31. Next up is a visit to Dodge County December 14 at 4 pm.
